Why mattresses need periodic deep cleaning
A mattress absorbs sweat, skin cells, and moisture every night it's used, which over time creates the conditions dust mites thrive in — a major trigger for allergies and asthma, and largely invisible until you know what to look for. Mattresses also can't be washed the way bedding can, so cleaning them properly requires methods that lift embedded dust and treat stains without saturating the mattress core, which can lead to mould if it doesn't dry out fully.
What's included
Our mattress cleaning uses dry-extraction methods safe for most mattress types (foam, spring, and hybrid) to target dust mites, stains, and odour without soaking the mattress. Visible stains are spot-treated directly, and the full surface is treated to reduce allergen buildup, not just cleaned where marks are visible.
How pricing works
Mattress cleaning is priced per mattress, so the total cost is straightforward to calculate for however many mattresses in your home need attention — a 2BHK with two bedrooms might have two or three mattresses depending on bed sizes, and each is priced individually.
Dry-extraction cleaning
Because a wet mattress takes a long time to dry and risks mould developing inside the core, dry-extraction methods are used instead — these lift dust, allergens, and surface dirt without introducing significant moisture, so the mattress is usable again much sooner than a wet-cleaning method would allow.
When to book
Dermatologists and allergy specialists commonly recommend mattress cleaning every few months for allergy-prone households, and it's a standard step before a change of tenant, after recovering from an illness, or if a mattress hasn't been professionally cleaned in over six months. It pairs naturally with a full home deep clean, where mattresses otherwise only get a light surface vacuum.
What's not included
This is a cleaning service, not a repair or replacement — sagging, torn covers, or structural mattress issues aren't addressed. Very old or heavily soiled mattresses may need a longer visit, which will be discussed with you before the crew proceeds.
Products and equipment used
Crews use dry-extraction equipment designed specifically for mattress cleaning, which lifts dust, allergens, and surface dirt without saturating the mattress core the way a wet-cleaning method would. Stain-specific treatments are used for visible marks, chosen to be safe on the mattress cover fabric.
How to prepare for your visit
Strip all bedding, pillows, and mattress protectors before the crew arrives so the full mattress surface is exposed. If a mattress has a specific stain or odour concern, point it out so the crew can treat it directly rather than only doing a general pass. Since the process is dry rather than wet, the mattress is typically usable again the same day, but airing it out for a few hours afterward is still worthwhile.
After the visit
Since the process is dry rather than wet, the mattress is usually ready to use again the same day — airing it near open windows for a few hours afterward helps any residual product odour dissipate faster. If a stain or odour persists after treatment, mention it before the crew leaves so it can be reassessed.
Signs it's time to book
Waking up with unexplained sneezing or itchy eyes, a mattress that looks visibly duller or yellowed compared to when it was new, or simply not remembering the last time it was professionally cleaned are all reasonable triggers to book — dust mite buildup isn't something you can usually see or smell directly.
